Redebus Pass

For a pleasant walk that allows you to admire splendid views of the Mocheni Valley and the Lagorai, as well as the traditional and characteristic mountain huts, we recommend the itinerary that starts from Passo del Redebus and winds its way to Agritur Scalzerhof, or vice versa. This is a great option if you don’t have the whole day available and don’t want to tackle hikes with challenging elevation gains.

The starting point is on your left just a few tens of meters after Passo Redebus, right in front of the signs for Malga Cambroncoi. The hike takes place entirely on a forest road, alternating stretches through deciduous forests and larch woods with meadows dotted with huts and breathtaking views.

Follow the signs for Agritur Scalzerhof, and you will come to a junction where a downhill stretch begins, very scenic from a landscape perspective, which will take you to Fikareim. Upon reaching the wayside shrine, take the path on your left that will lead you among huts and unique panoramas until you reach the locality of Tassainer.

Here, just a few steps from the fountain, you can admire a splendid artistic-naturalistic view. In about 5 minutes from Tassainer, you will reach Agritur Scalzerhof, which offers 5 rooms and two apartments and serves breakfast.

If you prefer to start the hike from Agritur Scalzerhof, you can leave your car in the paid parking lot at Frotten/Vrotten (1 € per hour; 6 € all day), from where hikes to Lake Erdemolo and the homonymous mine also start.
